Judging

Here's how to stand out from the crowd.

Judging Criteria

Here's what our judges look for when evaluating each submission:

Concept

What's the driving force that sets your podcast apart? Our judges are on the hunt for unique angles, fresh perspectives, or groundbreaking subject matter. A solid, original concept provides the bedrock for a compelling podcast.

Sound Design

Our judges put on their most discerning ears to assess your production values. We're listening for clear vocals, well-balanced sound levels, and smart use of music and sound effects. Great audio doesn't come from the fanciest microphone, it comes from a mastery of your specific equipment and setup.

Creativity

We want to see how you've taken creative liberties to make your podcast truly one-of-a-kind. This could mean a unique episode structure, innovative interview techniques, or perhaps an unconventional narrative style. If it shows flair and imagination, it'll catch our judges' ears.

Listener Engagement

A podcast isn't just a one-way street; it's a dialogue between the creators and their audience. Our judges want to see how you're engaging with your listeners. This could be through listener-submitted questions, or even community-building activities. High levels of engagement often signify a podcast that not only entertains but also resonates.

Overall Quality

Finally, we take a step back and look at the podcast as a whole. How well do all the elements come together to create a cohesive, high-quality experience? This is where we consider factors like pacing, flow, and whether the podcast fulfills its intended purpose or promise to the listener.

Judging Process

Each submission is carefully judged using the criteria above to ensure a fair and objective selection of winners.
